Membership Categories and Requirements for Joining

REQUIREMENTS:

To join BTPA as a student you need to:

• be undertaking training in Bowen Therapy with one of the BTPA accepted schools or teachers.

COST:

BTPA offers one year's FREE membership to all students undertaking Bowen courses with any of the schools and teachers accepted by BTPA. The free membership entitlement will take effect from the first day of their first module and will last for one calendar year from that date or until they successfully graduate as qualified practitioners - whichever comes first.

This exciting opportunity will enable students to become familiar with the world of Bowen practice and practitioners. Students can upgrade to Associate or Full Member as soon as they qualify.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be an associate of BTPA you need to:

• have completed training in Bowen Therapy with one of the BTPA accepted schools or teachers (qualification certificate required).

COST:

£65

Associate Members can upgrade to Full Member as soon as they meet the requirements for Full members detailed below.

REQUIREMENTS:

To be a Full Member of BTPA you need to:

• have completed "Core Bowen" training with one of the BTPA accepted schools or teachers (qualification certificate required), and to have completed 14 hours 'hands-on' Bowen CPD training undertaken in the last 12 months (unless your Bowen qualification was gained within the last 12 months).
• hold Professional Indemnity Insurance to a minimum value of £2m.
• have an Anatomy, Physiology & Pathology (AP&P) qualification. BTPA accepts ITEC and VTCT Level 3 certificates and some online qualifications in AP&P which include an examination at the end (in person or assessed remotely). CLICK HERE for more information.
• hold a current First Aid certificate. Read the minimum BTPA First Aid requirements.

Continuing Professional Development (CPD) requirements:

After becoming a Full Member you are required to undertake regular CPD activities. Read the BTPA CPD requirements.
