Insurance for BTPA Members working overseas
We know that some of our members who live permanently overseas may not able to get insurance in their country. When a member is not insured, this will be indicated on the public Register of therapists. Anyone receiving therapy from an uninsured overseas practitioner must be aware that they are taking on additional risks and may not be compensated should they suffer an injury whilst in such a clinic. BTPA accepts no liabilities if you receive treatment from an uninsured overseas member.
BTPA encourages all our overseas members to obtain professional indemnity and public liability insurance wherever possible, and this is a requirement of Full membership for all members in the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
